New Items
How About Some Chip Beads?
Lots of new stones!

Rhodonite with no matrix
Exactly like our usual Rhodonite but with almost none of that tedious black marbling.  Nice bright salmon pink.

Pietersite
We've had these in small nugget form; now we've got them in honest-to-goodness chips.  A spicy mixture of earthy colors with bits of Tiger Eye shimmer here and there.

Green Turquoise
Good, strong dark aqua green.  Nice and natural looking.

Green Chalk Turquoise
This Turquoise is a color that nature never intended.  Chalk Turquoise is stabilized Turquoise that has been dyed.  This is a real far-out green, bright lime, maybe just a little painful.  Wear these under a black light and be the hit of the party.

Mexican Zebra Jasper
Ordinary Zebra Jasper is a dull gray-green color with dark gray stripes, and it looks nice in it own right, but Mexican Zebra has intense blacks and whites.  Some people call this Cow Jasper because it looks like a black and white cow.  Great for when you want a good random mix of solid black and white.

Red Chalcedony
This is also called Goldfish Agate.  I didn't know which name sounded better.  I'll try it as Red Chalcedony for a while (it sounds more professional).  This is basically really brightly-colored Carnelian in vivid yellow, gold, orange, red.

Green Opal
Not exactly green, more of a barely-there sea mist green with a little light brown matrix.  Still, very pretty!

African Opal
A dull tan with bits of brown marbled through it.

Yellow Opal
If lemon drops were a gemstone they would be Yellow Opal.  Very bright lemon yellow.  Easily the most cheerful stone we carry.

Grossular Garnet
These are Garnets?  Garnet comes in a large variety of colors, but we are so used to the common red-purple kind that we can't think of it in any other color.  These are a dull dark olive green, on the jaggedy side.  Rough-looking, but you may like that.

Chevron Amethyst
Ah, this is my favorite of the new acquisitions.  Small white chips with lovely purple stripes.  Sure to be a big hit.

Red Flower Jasper
An odd stone that desperately longs to be Red Jasper, but just has too much junk in it.  Your basic Red Jasper base with some grayish marbling.  Interesting, if not particularly beautiful.  Get some; you'll find something to do with it.

More Stuff in Closeouts
As I clean up inventory I keep finding little odds and ends that don't fit anywhere specific, or small items that are slightly damaged but still might be useable to anyone with a good imagination.  Also, my son has been selling jewelry on the street corner all week, and every single day he breaks something.  Every single day.  It's starting to get ridiculous.  Anyway, I list them all on the Bargain Beads and Discounts/Closeouts. pages.  Be sure to check them often to see the newest additions.

Coming Soon
NOTE: Almost ALL of the below items are listed on the website now.  But they do not have pictures, so I have not yet included them in the "New Items" section.  Most of them have not been bagged up, so if you order them, you might expect a 1-2 day delay in processing.  All items can be found at the bottom of their respective pages.  (If something intrigues you and you can't find it, let me know and I will direct you to the appropriate page.)

Stone Fun Facts
Rutilated Quartz
** Please see general information on Quartz HERE.
** Rutilated Quartz is a rock made from crystalline Quartz embedded with impurities of titanium dioxide, which is called Rutile.  Rutile grows in long, thin, crystals, and within the Quartz, the crystals look like tiny reddish or golden needles.
** The Rutile inclusions amplify the metaphysical properties of the Quartz.  Thus, all of Quartz's properties apply to Rutilated Quartz, only more so.
** This stone is also known as Venus' Hair Stone and Cupid's Darts.
** Rutilated Quartz is a highly energetic stone.  It helps energy move freely through the body, and assists mental focus.  It is helpful in uncovering the causes of mental hang-ups.
** This stone helps to diminish fears, aid in decision-making, ease loneliness, enhance self-reliance, and reduce guilt.  It helps the wearer to improve his or her creativity, to find creative potential and concentrate on personal skills and talents.
** The word "rutile" comes from the Latin rutilus, which means "red."
