Chip Strands
I am making that leap from bagged beads to whole strands, for those out
there who prefer to save some money by buying larger volumes. Currently I
have nearly a hundred types out of the 180 or so we carry. Some beads are
so rare or hard to get that I cannot provide strands for them, but with a
hundred to choose from, you'll have plenty of variety. The strands come in
four price ranges.

Stone Fun Facts
Mahogany Obsidian
** Please see more information on general Obsidian here:
** When volcanic lava cools, it doesn't have time to form crystals, so it
cools into a sort of natural glass. This glass is often black, but a high
concentration of iron in the lava can make it a reddish-brown color. When
two lava flows of different colors cool side by side, the result is a streaked
rock. Mahogany Obsidian is the result of iron-rich lava (red-brown) that
cooled with regular lava (black).
** Small shards of Mahogany Obsidian (formed when droplets of lava cooled
in the air after an eruption) are called Apache Tears.
** Early Americans used Mahogany Obsidian as arrows and spears.
Ancient Incas used it for mirrors, weapons, and masks.
** Crystal healers use Mahogany Obsidian to increase sensuality,
particularly the sense of touch. It stimulates the growth of physical,
spiritual, intellectual, and emotional centers, and provides strength in times
of need.
** Physically, Mahogany Obsidian is thought to be good for the gums.
** This stone promotes environmental awareness and a desire to care for the
earth. It helps the wearer to connect to planet Earth, and to help Earth
healing.

News and Stuff
Fluctuating Sales
The last two weeks have been very slow for me. I was starting to
worry, and my eBay auctions were actually LOSING money. However, business
picked up over the weekend, and at the time of this writing (Sunday night at
nearly midnight) I am still waiting for my shoppers to finish up so I can
compile this week's Top 10! Let's hope this trend continues for the next
few weeks, as folks ditch the malls and start shopping online!
No New E-Mail Address After All
Two weeks ago, I reported that the following week I would start using my
Ephemerala e-mail address instead of my home address. It turns out I am
somehow unable to send bulk messages using the Ephemerala address, so all
newsletters will continue to be sent via dallape@charter.net.
Fortnightly Sale
All December Birthstones Half
Price
With December right around the corner, I am cutting the prices of ALL
December birthstones in half--not just Turquoise. In doing research on
different stones, I always make a note of those that represent my birth month,
so I've come up with more than the usual Turquoise. This sale also applies
to Tanzanite, Blue Topaz, Lapis, and Onyx. ALL items with these stones
will be on sale, and that includes beads, pendants, bracelets, gem bottles, and
other things.

Half Price December Birthstones Offer is good through December 12,
2004.
Penny Sale
Every two weeks, I hide a new special offer somewhere on my online
site. This listing will offer a certain product for ONE CENT, with any
purchase of $10.00 or more. The item and its location will change every
two weeks, so be sure to look often. Simply go to my online store site:
and browse until you find the hidden listing. Add it to your cart,
along with the rest of your $10+ order, and it will be included for just a
penny. Happy Hunting!
(Recent keen-eyed customers got a bag of PEARL BEADS for a penny.
What will you be able to get this week?)
Insider's Special
Cash Back on Pendants Purchases
People loved last week's Cash Back sale so much, I decided I'd offer it for
the other main element of my business, Stone Pendants. This week, for each
Stone Pendant you buy, I will return 50 cents back to you. Due to the
large number of pendants, I cannot automatically change all
prices to reflect this sale, but here's how it will work. Go to my eBay
store or my online store and buy any number of Carved Stone Pendants you
wish. When you pay, drop me a short line to let me know of your Insider's
status. I will then REFUND your PayPal payment to the tune of 50
cents for each pendant purchased. (Or, if you pay by check or money order,
I will send your refund back with your package.) This means if you buy 20
pendants, I will refund $10.00. If you buy 40 pendants, I will refund
$20.00. What if you decide to go whole hog and buy 100 pendants? You
will get a refund of a whoppin' $50.00 back. There is NO LIMIT to the
number of pendants you may buy. NOTE: This sale applies to INDIVIDUAL
pendants only.
Cash Back on Pendants Offer is good through December 12,
2004.
