Some of you may be aware that the United States Postal Service will be raising its rates by 10% on January 8. How will this affect Ephemerala?

I am going to keep the regular First Class shipping costs as they are for the time being. If, over time, I see a significant difference between what customers pay and the actual cost, I will consider raising it, but for now I'd like to try keeping it at the usual $1.00 base fee with a small added fee for each item (currently 10 cents for small items, and more for heavier items).

I will be raising the cost of Priority shipping to a base fee of $4.50, up from the old base fee of $4.00. This change will take place in exactly one week.

I don't think I will raise the costs of International shipping right now until I see what the difference might be, and of course, UPS prices are not changing.
