50 Stone Chip Beads
For the jewelry-maker or beading enthusiast, here are 50 beads made of Sugilite Howlite chips. Chips are the small leftovers from tumbled stones or shells, with holes drilled through them.
Mix them with other stone beads and metallic spacers for endless possibilities.
[Please allow for natural variations in the stones.]
Howlite is a white stone with gray marbling that can easily be dyed. Turquoise Howlite and Lapis Howlite are two stones that are common; now we have "Sugilite" Howlite chips. Dyed dark strong purple, these chips are for the most dramatic creations. The dye is colorfast and will not bleed. [PLEASE NOTE: The photo below shows these beads as a dark violet blue color. We tried very hard to get an accurate color, but for some reason it wouldn't work with our scanner. Don't be fooled by the blueness; these are actually very purple.]
