Halloween Goody Ideas

We always like to give out "Goody Bags" at Halloween instead of just candy. Sure, the bags contain some candy, but we also like to throw in some surprises. Last year, there were stickers, toys, noisemakers, toothpaste samples, and little gemstone baubles. The bags were a huge hit with everyone, since even kids like to get a break from the candy after a while!

For those of you who also like to get away from the mindless candy stupor, we have a lot of interesting ideas for goody bag stuffers:

Value Packs
Lots of little gifts at discounted prices. Try pendants (don't forget chains or cords for them!), rings, or gem bottles.

Point Beads on Wire
If you take a Point Bead and string it on a thin black cord or beading wire, it makes a fun gift that is also a tiny bit spooky. We recommend Clear Quartz, as it has a "mystical" feel to it, but maybe you'll prefer something more homey.

Loose Gemstones
Buy up a couple of bags of Faceted Gems or Cabochon Gems, divide them up, and put them in little plastic bags. Kids LOVE real gems!

Polished Gems
Try Polished Tumbled Stones, a bag of Mini Gem Chips, a hunk of Window Quartz, or some Medicine Stones. A little go a long way.

Worry Dolls
What can be more worrisome than a night devoted to the lower spirits? Kids can tell the Worry Dolls their fears, put the dolls under their pillows, and wake up with the fears removed! Be sure to include a small card with the doll to explain its use!

Twig Pencils
The Back to School excitement is over, and the blahs have set in. Why not perk kids up with a cool twig pencil?

Snake In a Box
SURPRISE! A perfect Halloween scare!

Bug In a Box
Similar to the snake, but for our wiggly, buggy friends!

Wire Puzzles
Inexpensive, small, and fun!

Metal Bug Clickers
Creepy in a buggy way, these inexpensive toys are actually a good safety device for kids out in the dark. Put them on top of the goodies and instruct the kids to click them as they roam.

Adjustable Rings
These are great for kids because they can be adjusted to fit any size finger.

Incense
An offbeat goody bag choice that will lend atmosphere to any house.

Sandalwood Bookmark
An odd choice, smells yummy and encourages reading.

Rock Candy Sticks
Just the perfect size to slip in a goody bag.

Small Pendants
Such as Wire Wrapped Stones, Cat's Eye Bells, or for the most extravagant, Wire Wrapped Quartz Points!

Presentation Ideas
Don't forget a bag or purse to put them in!
