GOLDSTONE MARBLES BACK IN STOCK
We've had a few Goldstone marbles off and on through the years. Now we've got a HUGE supply, so they won't run out any time soon!
OPALITE MARBLES
This is a fabulous shimmering milky white. Opalite is a man-made stone created to replicate Opal or Moonstone. It's everything Opal or Moonstone should be, only way better.
WHITE OPALITE MARBLES
Sometimes Opalite is sort of transparent; other times it's very opaque. Here are the opaque ones. I initially thought I'd like the clearer ones best, but the White Opalite marbles have a much deeper inner light, so I am torn.
MORE CAT'S EYE CHIP BEADS
We've had a couple of basic Fiber Optic Cat's Eye chips for a long time. Now we've consolidated them all into one listing and added a half a dozen new colors. And we've reduced the price by fifty cents!
PINK CHALK TURQUOISE CHIP BEADS
The things they do with that Chalk Turquoise! Take some pure Turquoise powder, mix it with a stabilizer, and add color. Sounds good, when they stick to the basic greens and blues of real Turquoise. Now someone has had the brilliant idea of adding a weird pink color to the powder, for a Pepto-Bismol hue that I don't think actually exists in nature. Freak-ay!
SARDONYX CHIP BEADS
I LOVE this stone! I've been trying to get this in chip form for YEARS. This is a pure black and white agate, with strongly defined stripes. If I wore jewelry (I don't), this stone would have a frequent spot of honor around my neck.
MELANITE CHIP BEADS
This is the black form of Garnet. It's a fairly solid black color, with just a little bit of translucent red-brown here and there. These beads are rough and large, cut following the stone's natural crystalline structure, so they look faceted. Not the prettiest of stones, but the intrigue of black Garnet makes it worth it.
BLUE RUBY ZOISITE CHIP BEADS
BLUE Ruby Zoisite? There is some sort of impurity in this stone that makes the Zoisite part of it a pleasant gray-blue instead of green-black. In fact, this might not even be Zoisite at all; it might be Fuschite. Whatever it is, we only have a few bags, and no way to get any more, so if you are going to get any, you might want to hurry.
FLUORITE WITH MATRIX CHIP BEADS
This is yer basic Rainbow Fluorite, all the usual soft purples, blues, and greens, but with this weird matrix all over them. It's rough and orange. I have no idea what it is. It might be paint or cement for all I know. I like to believe it's natural, but it's extremely strange.
MORGANITE CHIP BEADS
This is the pink version of Beryl (the mineral which includes Aquamarine and Emerald). These are the palest clear pink, with a little hint of the long crystalline structure, and an odd inner shine that can't be explained by cut or inclusions. I like these!
SERAPHINITE CHIP BEADS
A pretty dark gray-green stone with lots of little shimmers in them. At first glance they seem sort of dull, but when you get up close you can see the cat's eye effects.
ROUGH AMBER WITH INSECTS
We recently got in a new shipment of rough Amber bits, and in rummaging through them we found some awesome specimens with insects. A couple of them are really spectacular. The only problem is that we don't know the exact species of the bugs (our other specimens were identified for us already). And these new nuggets aren't tumbled like the other ones, but they have a clear flat "window" through which you can view the bugs.
ZEBRA JASPER MARBLES
As with Pyrite, we already carry a smaller version of this. If you're like me and like all your stones to be 20mm, here you go!
CHRYSANTHEMUM STONE MARBLES
This is a fun stone! Pure black with stark white flowery patterns on them. I like this stone for my personal home decor--it's very brushwork-like.
KAMBABA JASPER MARBLES
These are a pleasant green-black combo. Lots of fun swirls and blobs in these.
BLUE OBSIDIAN MARBLES
GORGEOUS! The loveliest, most delicate, crystal clear blue stone. Obsidian is a form of natural glass, and blue Obsidian is pretty hard to find. These are just perfect. They look fake, but they aren't.
ANGELITE MARBLES
A light, pretty opaque powder blue. It looks a little like Blue Aventurine, but without the mica inclusions. Not a common stone by any means.
PYRITE MARBLES
We have these already in a much smaller size. Now you can have them in a 20mm size. These aren't as golden as our little marbles; these are a darker dull metallic black.
RED SNOWFLAKE JASPER MARBLES
This is sort of interesting. A solid black stone with little blobs of red all over.
RUBY MARBLES
Now don't get your hopes up--there are no glittering red gems here. This is Ruby in its massive form, which isn't really all that pretty. I mean, it's pretty, but not "bright sparkling red gemstones in the fairy tale crown of my childhood dreams" pretty. These are medium mauve, with the occasional speck of crystalline glitter. Who else on the block has a genuine RUBY marble??
ASTROPHYLITE MARBLES
This is a striking, mysterious stone. At first glance it looks black and mottled, but on closer inspection you can see the deep shards of a glittering rutile-like material. These marbles look good from several different angles. Like Labradorite, but maybe just a little bit cooler!
RESIN DRAGON FIGURINES
Cute little dragons in a variety of poses. Choose from two different colors. At a buck a pop, this is a great way to liven up any Asian decor--buy up a few for a little dragon herd (or whatever groups of dragons are called). And these would also make fun gifts for kids--I am planning on sending a couple to my little niece!
MINI SOAPSTONE PERFUME BOXES
I just saw these listed in the "Coming Soon" section, and realized I had forgotten all about them! These are the same small, dome-topped Soapstone Boxes that our Solid Perfumes come in, but they are empty. You can use them for your own homemade perfume, or just as a nice display item.
CORK SCULPTURES
These are very cool. Within the glassed-in wooden display frame is an adorable little sculpture carved from cork wood. The sculptures depict scenes of trees, mountains, buildings, and birds. Each is a little different, but you can choose your favorite frame shape.
GLOBE MARBLES
We love these! Glass marbles with the continents etched on them. My geography-loving son has about ten of these in his personal collection, all different colors. A definite must for the marble collector.
ROSE CUT DIAMONDS
These are a disappointing chapter in my business life. I ordered some rose cut diamonds, the photo of which showed TYPICAL rose cut diamonds, which are basically flat on the bottom and domed on top. They promised to be very small, and the lot was supposed to contain over 30 diamonds. When I got the parcel, I was shocked to see a lot of crudely-cut diamonds that looked more like chips than anything else. I tried to get my money back, but the seller refused, so I was stuck with these ugly diamond chips. I am selling them well below cost because I am so disgusted I want to get rid of them fast. These are particularly good for interesting collectible gifts--kids will absolutely love having their very own genuine diamonds!
BAMBOO WIND CHIMES
From Bali, exotic fire-burnt bamboo tubes hanging from a wooden ring. We have a set of these outside, and I love the way they sound--a sort of hollow musical clunk.
AFRICAN BASKETS
Adorable little baskets with lids. We only obtained a couple of these, and can't get any more, so gets yours fast.
AQUA AURA HERKIMER DIAMONDS
These small Quartz crystals, found in Herkimer, NY, are treated in a high-heat process with gold and certain other elements (depending on the color desired), to form a permanent color bond that will not rub or chip off. The colors appear swirled and opalescent. Choose from four different colors.
AMBER CHIP BEADS WITH INSECTS
Just a few of these available! One-of-a-kind creations can be made with these awesome chip beads. Each is tumbled smooth, and holds a visible insect. These will go fast, so get yours soon! See them at the top of the Amber Beads page here:
VALUE PACK OF HEMP & LEATHER JEWELRY
This is great for swap meet folks who want to re-sell, or for people looking for small gifts for lots of people. This is a collection of 25 necklaces & bracelets made from hemp, leather, elastic cord, and other materials. The necklaces have focal points of various materials, and the bracelets are beaded and/or woven. Each collection is slightly different.
SINGLE LOOSE FACETED GEMSTONES
Our Faceted Gemstones Grab Bags are great, but sometimes you are looking for something more specific. Now we have loose faceted gems in sizes that you can choose. We've got Amethyst, Garnet, Peridot, White & Blue Topaz, Smoky Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Tanzanite, Citrine, Apatite, Spinel, Fire Opal, and Rose Quartz. Make jewelry, or build your own personal collection. (Some of these do not have pictures yet, but you know what an Emerald looks like, don't you??)
SILVER FLAKE BOTTLES
I could have sworn I had listed these recently, but they appear nowhere on the site, so once again, here is something that has been sitting around for ages without being make available to the public! This is a silver replica of our fat gold bottles. Same bottle shape, same plastic top and inner cork, same liquid matrix (it's an alcohol type substance), and same price.
NEW INCENSE FRAGRANCES
For the last few years we've participated in our local Peach Days festival, and last year we discovered that incense was a HUGE seller. So in preparation for this year's festival, I bought up a bunch of new fragrances. Unfortunately, my booth partner (Hi Mom!) broke her arm and foot, so we had to cancel the festival this year. Which leaves me with a LOT of nice fresh incense and nobody to sell it to. Won't you give it a home? I must have been hungry the day I ordered it, because most of the new fragrances are edibles! (Chocolate, Blueberry Pie, Maple Syrup, Watermelon, Kiwi, Candy Cane, Banana Nut Bread, Black Licorice, on and on and on...)
IMITATION MALACHITE CHIP BEADS
Why imitation Malachite? Who knows? It isn't like real Malachite chip beads are all that costly. The imitation looks a little prettier than real Malachite, but real Malachite is plenty pretty too, so I just don't get this.
IMITATION TURQUOISE CHIP BEADS
Why imitation Turquoise? We already have Howlite. To be certain, I'm not sure WHAT these beads are made of. They definitely have some sort of resin holding the color together, but what makes the color, I don't know. It may very well be real Turquoise powder. It also might be melted crayons. I'm not claiming anything. I also don't know what makes the totally fake-looking black matrix. It looks like it was drawn on with a Sharpie. These are completely awful.
IMITATION HEMATITE CHIP BEADS
Why imitation Hematite? Okay, this one is easy to answer. Real Hematite tends to have a dull reddish-brown cast over it (think of it as rust!), while imitation Hematite (known as Hemalyke or Hematine) is a perfect dark metallic gray that doesn't tarnish. We've got them both now.
PLATINUM DIAMOND CHIP BEADS
We've carried Diamond beads for a year or two now, but they are in their natural crystalline form and cost $15 per bead. We recently got a MUCH better deal on smaller Diamond beads. They do not show their original crystalline structure; they are much more like real Chip beads, and they are just a dollar per bead. WOW! You'll need two of these to fill the space that one of the other beads would have filled, but you'll still be $13 ahead.
METALLIC FINISH GLASS MARBLES
These are fun, if not particularly ingenious. 16mm glass marbles with a fancy metallic coating. These would be good for kids who like pretty marbles but who don't care if they are real stones.
NEW CHIP BRACELETS
We've added a few new stone types to our Chip Bracelet collection. Now you can also choose from Turquoise, Coral, Onyx, Howlite, and others, as well as the great original selection.
PINK ZEBRA JASPER CHIP BEADS
This is basically Zebra Jasper with a bunch of pink impurities in it. I am convinced that this was originally the rejects from some batch of Zebra Jasper. Like someone at the factory got really annoyed at the low-quality material and was about to throw it out, then some enterprising trainee said, "Hey, let's give it a different name and sell it as a new stone!" No matter; it's pretty, being delicate and bold at the same time.
HEMIMORPHITE CHIP BEADS
This stone is really rare; I was surprised to be able to find a large quantity of it in chip form. A strong bright aqua green. It's like Amazonite on steroids.
IMPERIAL JASPER CHIP BEADS
The "King" of jaspers, this one has pretty much every color you've every seen in your life, ever. A nice creamy mix of greens, browns, pinks, yellows, grays, maybe even a blue in there once in a while. Nice full smooth chips, sure to be a favorite.
CHINESE CHRYSOPRASE CHIP BEADS
Dude, this stone is GREEN. Like grass green mixed with bright green with extra green on top. I guess they grow greener Chrysoprase in China or something. This is really beautiful; sort of puts regular Chrysoprase to shame.
RIODACITE CHIP BEADS
I like this stone for the dual reason that it has my son Rio's name in it, and that some of the individual stones are the EXACT color of my 1-year-old's eyes! (Cedric's eyes are an awesome black-gray with a tiny bit of blue...) I'm still not quite sure what this stone is, but it's kind of like an all-purpose neutral-colored rockish gem with little chunks of a blue-white mineral in them. Intriguing, if not particularly gorgeous. Unless it's seen in a baby's eyes, of course.
LARGER SPHERES
I recently visited our page for spheres 26mm and up, and discovered that there was only one sad, lonely Ametrine sphere on the page. I thought I had listed a lot more, but I guess not. So I got out my handy little measuring gauge and listed over 20 NEW spheres! You can choose from inexpensive favorites like Rose Quartz and Tiger Eye, or you can go exotic and try Aquamarine, Ruby, or Septarian. Many of these are one-of-a-kind. I plan to get more listed in the future, when I get to scanning them.
NEW MARBLES
We got in a HUGE shipment of new 18mm marbles. They were a very good deal, so the price of these (with two exceptions) is just two dollars. This is a good way to get a wide selection of gemstone marbles without spending as much as you would with the 20mm ones. There are over 25 new 18mm marbles, including such never-before-offered-in-marbles stones as Prehnite, Sardonyx, Red Malachite, China Jade, White Howlite, and Zebra Jasper. (Plus a lot of the old favorite stones in this new size.) Also check out our new Green Pakistan Onyx marbles--as pretty as the usual Pakistan Onyx, but with an abundance of green.
BUG & FROG MAGNETS
Fun stuff! Whimsical magnets look just like real bugs. We've got Butterflies, Dragonflies, and Frogs in a rainbow of colors. Put one of these on your fridge and you'll get some startled gasps. See them all on the Misc. Gifts page here:
UTAH WONDERSTONE MAGNETS
One of our nicest native stones is Utah Wonderstone, a striped sandstone that puts regular old Picture Jasper to shame. We've got our Wonderstone in magnets. Each is very pretty.
ACRYLIC BUG PENDANTS
What a fun summer gift! These are real bugs preserved in clear acrylic. This is sure to be a conversation starter. As with the geode pendants above, I've actually worn these bug necklaces. Kids love 'em.
GEODE PENDANTS WITH CRYSTALS
These are amazing. Each pendant consists of a split geode, with the glittery crystals inside. The edges are covered with gold electroplate, and in the center of each geode is a single crystal of your choice of Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine, or Tourmaline. Each is unique, and each is absolutely stunning. I do not regularly wear jewelry myself, but I actually have been known to wear these.
SWAROVSKI FLAT-BACKED RHINESTONES
I got a small number of these as a gift from a wholesaler, and didn't want to use them for myself, so I decided to try selling them on the site. Bear in mind, I have absolutely no idea how much these sell for ordinarily. I may be pricing them way too high (let me know if this is the case) or too low (I assume no one will let me know if THIS is the case!); I just don't know one way or another. The size is 16SS which I guess means 4mm round. We've got six colors available, sold in packets of ten rhinestones. They are on the Closeouts page, since they are not something I plan to replace when gone. Bling!
WHITE ONYX EGGS
These are very nice--large, clean white, some have a few white-on-white stripes. I love White Onyx!
GREEN PAKISTAN ONYX EGG
We've added a fabulous new Pakistan Onyx egg to our listings. This one has shades of green. It's one of the prettiest ones I have seen.
NEW MINIATURE EGGS
We've added several new stones to our Micro Eggs collection, including Green Jade, Prehnite, Snowflake Obsidian, Unakite, African Turquoise Jasper, Heliotrope, Fluorite, Red Malachite, and New Jade. Check them out!
CHRYSANTHEMUM STONE TEAPOT
Only one in stock, so be fast! Chrysanthemum Stone is a little like Chinese Writing Stone or Snowflake Obsidian. It's solid black with what appears to be white starbursts on it. We got this little teapot quite a while ago, and are just now putting it up on the site for sale. It's one-of-a-kind. It has a little frog on the lid!
EGG CABOCHON RINGS
Show off one of these cool rings with egg-shaped stones. Just three bucks a pop, and a dozen different stones to choose from!
AMBER VALUE PACKS
Want to REALLY go bug-searching? Buy one of our Amber Value Packs with 50 or 100 nuggets!
CANDY GLASS CHIP BEADS
Take a look at these and you'll see exactly why they are called Candy Glass. They look good enough to eat! A mix of yummy colors (think grape, lemon, cherry...) to mess with. These will have all the kids lining up next to you for a taste.
WHITE OPALITE CHIP BEADS
This differs slightly from our regular Opalite in that it's more opaque, so you get a LOT more of that fabulous blue fire that Opalite is so famous for. Limited quantities.
MULTICOLOR CRACKLE QUARTZ CHIP BEADS
These beads occur when you take clear Quartz, get it really really hot, plunge it into ice water, then dip it in a vat of dye. The ice water causes the stones to crack, and then dye gets in the cracks. These are a mixture of pastel colors. Very spring-like!
MILLEFIORI CHIP BEADS
These are odd, beautiful little beads. I am not very familiar with Millefiori (but I eventually will be), so I can't tell you exactly what these are, but basically they are little colored glass bits within clear glass. There is all manner of designs and colors here. I mean, these are GORGEOUS. I understand that there's a small subsection of beaders who are absolutely mad over Millefiori, so here's to you!
MULTICOLOR "QUARTZ" CHIP BEADS
This is a collection of every color of glass "Quartz" ever known to mankind, EVER. If you can envision a color, you'll find it here.
BROWN JASPER CHIP BEADS
Bleh, another dull stone. This has tiny light brown crackling marks on a darker background. I don't like it, but someone will.
CHINESE PICTURE JASPER CHIP BEADS
Kinda dull, kinda like most other tan/brown Jaspers. I guess when there is a very slight difference in pattern, the folks at the Gem-Naming Committee (is there even one of those?) feel it needs a whole new name, so here we have Chinese Picture Jasper. Buy it if regular Picture Jasper just isn't Chinese enough for you.
